Investment Specialist, BMO Investorline (English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese)

Location: Work from home

Language Requirements: Strong verbal and written skills in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese.

Work Hours: Availability to work between 8:00AM and 6:00PM EST, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week).

Responsibilities:

1. Understand customer needs and provide wealth and investment-related sales and service.
2. Advise customers on strategies and products to meet objectives.
3. Fulfills sales and service activities following procedures.
4. Identify opportunities for referrals and cross-selling.
5. Make outbound calls and proactively enhance customer experience.
6. Stay updated on industry trends, products, and regulations.
7. Deliver professional service for inquiries, issues, and requests.
8. Understand customer needs and recommend suitable investment solutions.
9. Achieve sales targets for relevant investment products.
10. Manage transactional outcomes and escalate complex issues as needed.
11. Complete documentation accurately after customer interactions.
12. Maintain knowledge of markets, practices, and trends.
13. Incorporate marketing promotions into customer conversations.
14. Maintain confidentiality and report suspicious activities.
15. Adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements.
16. Handle diverse tasks within rules and manage escalations.
17. Analyze issues and determine next steps.

Qualifications:

• Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• High school diploma or higher; post-secondary preferred.
• Knowledge of market trends, products, and BMO services.
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) preferred.
• Understanding of risk management and compliance.
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

Salary range: $37,500 - $69,500. Salary varies based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. May include performance incentives and benefits such as health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans.
