Investment Specialist - 12 Month Contract

The Investment Specialist is responsible for processing investment transactions and trades, both timely and accurately. Please note this is a 12 Month Contract.

What You Will Do
  • Full scrubbing of received applications ensuring that SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met
  • Communicates with advisors to obtain missing information and/or signatures required on investment applications
  • Application entry into the WealthServ system
  • Ensuring adherence to process to mitigate required LOI’s
  • Email wire order confirmation for application submission
  • Completes transactions and trades on WealthServ system
  • Transfer follow-ups – ongoing updates to ensure current data is captured in the WealthServ system
  • Retrieve and respond to incoming email inquiries and requests
  • Works extensively with back office systems, WealthServ, as well as insurance carrier websites
  • Work is carried out with some latitude to decide when and how work is completed
  • Results directly contribute to the performance of the team
  • The position requires no direct supervision or coordination of employees but may occasionally assist other employees by providing them with information
What You Will Bring
  • Possesses specialized knowledge of investment products
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the insurance and financial services industry
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of WealthServ is an asset
  • Completion of Post-Secondary School, or equivalent

The base salary for this position is between $44,700 and $67,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components of our total rewards (i.e., annual bonus, commission, etc.).
