Job description

Provide active product expertise to crew and clients and to collaborate with business and investment teams to ensure the health and commercial success of the products

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide active product expertise to crew and clients and to collaborate with business and investment teams to ensure the health and commercial success of the products
  • Conducts analyses of investment product issues confronting Vanguard's product line-up. Leverages and manages cross-functional teams as required. Prepares and presents strategic analysis and recommendations to senior management at various forums.
  • Acts as an active equity investment expert both internally and externally in the industry. Provides investment support and guidance to relationship management and sales teams; is regularly called upon to participate in meetings with clients, acting as a proxy for Vanguard’s portfolio managers. The candidate will serve as the primary contact in delivering investment expertise and capital markets perspective about the fixed income market.
  • Attends and presents at industry conferences and client specific events related to the product category of focus.
  • Leverages the client and sales feedback on products in order to assess product health and drive ongoing product improvements and positioning.
  • Supports the creation of dynamic content used to position Vanguard investment products and to respond to investor queries.
  • Creates and facilitates internal training and communications including training on launches and changes to existing products. Ensures coordination and consistency of product-related marketing initiatives and external communications across divisions.
  • Contributes to business line research agendas to enhance client experience and business results.
  • Stays current on industry, market, product, and competitive trends in the local markets supported.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Five years related work experience, including three years experience in product management and investment analysis/strategy.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • CFA preferred.
