In this role, you will:
- Engage with clients through outbound and inbound assessments, evaluating their financial situations for mutual funds using probing questions and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Simplify and explain investment strategies using accessible language and analogies to enhance understanding. Coach clients to adopt sound investor behaviors and habits for long-term investment success. Educate clients on product fundamentals to increase their investor IQ. Enable clients to take control of their investments with tailored recommendations suited to their needs. Empower clients to use online self-serve tools for planning and goal setting. Recommend other Tangerine products that meet clients' needs. Assist with trade requests and account maintenance, ensuring high accuracy. Meet monthly productivity, sales, and quality targets across channels. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Deliver appropriate investment advice by reviewing Know Your Client (KYC) details, assessing personal circumstances, and making recommendations aligned with client needs and objectives. Understand Tangerine Investments' products, including their structure, features, risks, and costs, and how these impact clients. Develop customized action plans for investment goals. Provide research and context on deposit, mutual fund, and ETF products; simplify methodologies for clients. Use judgment to recommend strategies that minimize fees and meet life goals. Understand the boundaries of advice within Tangerine Investment's guidelines.
- Manage risks and ensure compliance by understanding client suitability and KYP standards. Adhere to all policies, procedures, legal and ethical requirements, and risk guidelines. Protect assets and ensure operations align with bank policies and regulations. Maintain effective controls and operational excellence following Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct, and sales principles. Address operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risks.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the Tangerine Investment Team by participating in professional development, staying updated on market trends and bank initiatives, and improving team efficiency. Strive to meet productivity and performance goals. Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to management to enhance customer service.
Do you have the skills to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bilingual in French and English
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- Successful completion of CSC or IFIC
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Strong written and reading comprehension skills
