Job summary

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking a Data Analyst for the Investment Data Architecture team in a hybrid Toronto-based role. You will translate stakeholder needs into data definitions and acceptance criteria, helping build trusted investment datasets and data products.

You will develop conceptual and logical data models with business and technical partners, define data quality rules, and validate data transformations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Analysis or related field.
• Progress toward CFA/FRM is an asset.
• 3–5 years of experience in investment management or financial services.
• Hands-on knowledge of equity, fixed income, or derivatives data.
• Experience with Security Master, Pricing, or EDM platforms is a plus.
• SQL is an asset; familiarity with Python, PySpark, Lakehouse architecture, Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with investment and operations stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into requirements, data definitions, and acceptance criteria.
• Define and prepare trusted investment datasets (data products) using standards and stewardship.
• Develop conceptual and logical investment data models with business and technical partners.
• Collaborate with data engineers to define data transformation rules and source-to-target mappings.
• Define data quality rules and analyze data-quality exceptions and reconciliation breaks.
• Serve as SME on security master, pricing, holdings and reference data across asset classes.
• Document data models, mappings, data flows and lineage information.
• Contribute to strategic data projects with requirements, testing, and release validation.
