Canaccord Genuity Corp. in Toronto is seeking an Associate to join our Mining Investment Banking group, assisting on advisory and financing transactions in the mining sector alongside senior team members.

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in business, with at least two years of investment banking experience (M&A and corporate finance preferred), strong financial modeling, and excellent written communication. This role is on-site, five days a week, in Toronto.

About The Role:

Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an Associate to join our Mining Investment Banking group in Toronto.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work alongside deal teams consisting of Canaccord Genuity professionals at all levels including the senior principals, on a variety of advisory and financing transactions in the mining sector;
• Play a key role in all aspects of developing and executing transactions, including:
  • financial analysis
  • value analysis
  • detailed modeling
  • preparation of presentation materials
  • research of company and industry dynamics
  • conducting due diligence
  • preparation of offering documents
  • marketing transactions

Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of a university degree in a business-related discipline;
• Minimum of two (2) years of investment banking experience in a similar role – experience in both M&A and corporate finance preferred;
• Solid quantitative skills including strong financial modeling skills;
• Strong analytical ability and written communication skills;
• Resourceful, diligent and strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Work Arrangement:

This role is expected to be in-office to support collaboration, team connectivity, and day-to-day business needs. The successful candidate should be comfortable working on-site 5 days per week.

Total Rewards:

The expected base salary for this role is $125,000 - $135,000 and will be based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, Canaccord Genuity offers a competitive total rewards package, which may include:
