Job summary

Canaccord Genuity Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join the Wealth Management team in Calgary. The role supports Investment Advisors in cultivating client relationships and ensuring accurate, compliant account administration.

The ideal candidate will have CIRO licensing or progress toward it, 2–3 years in securities, and strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office and interest in financial planning are assets.

Qualifications

  • CIRO Licensed as an Investment Representative, or actively working toward designation.
  • 2-3 years of related experience in securities industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with staff and clients at all levels.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Interest in Financial Planning and/or Insurance an asset.
  • Experience with Dataphile, Envestnet, Salesforce and netx360 an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Investment Advisors to deliver an exceptional client experience and grow the practice.
  • Work toward advancing to Associate Advisor and then Investment Advisor through involvement in business development.
  • Anticipate client needs, deliver timely results, and manage administrative tasks.
  • Assist Advisors with processing, execution, and confirmation of client transactions.
  • Serve as a primary client contact for inquiries, quotes, and trading orders.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, client lists, and relevant statistics.
  • Process client documentation to ensure accurate accounts and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external providers for account administration.
  • Support marketing efforts, campaigns, communications, and client engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to business development through client retention and referrals.
  • Stay updated on policy, regulatory changes, and compliance.

Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an energetic, detailed and organized individual to join our Wealth Management team in Calgary. The successful candidate’s role will support a Wealth Management team in establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with a team of Investment Advisors to deliver an exceptional client experience, strengthen existing client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice;
  • Demonstrate a long-term commitment to a career in wealth management, with an interest in progressing toward an Associate Advisor and ultimately an Investment Advisor role through active involvement in business development and client relationship management;
  • Demonstrate a proactive, client-focused approach by anticipating needs, delivering timely and accurate results, and independently managing administrative and operational responsibilities;
  • Assist Investment Advisors with the processing, execution, and confirmation of client transactions and trading activities;
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients by responding to inquiries, providing quotes, executing trading orders, and delivering exceptional service;
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute regular and ad hoc reports, account lists, statistical information, and other business-related reporting;
  • Process, review, and follow up on client documentation to ensure accurate account maintenance and compliance requirements are met;
  • Liaise with internal departments and external service providers to facilitate account administration, documentation processing, and operational requests;
  • Provide marketing support to Advisors, including coordinating digital marketing campaigns, preparing and distributing mass client communications (electronic and mail), maintaining marketing materials, and supporting client engagement initiatives;
  • Support business development initiatives through client retention, referral generation, marketing activities, and relationship building efforts;
  • Remain current on company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and compliance updates;
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned;
Skills & Qualifications
  • CIRO Licensed as an Investment Representative, or actively working toward obtaining the designation;
  • 2-3 years of related experience, with a well-rounded knowledge and interest in the securities industry;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, take initiatives and multi-task;
  • Ability to work independently, and effectively with employees and clients at all levels;
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills: good working knowledge of MS Office programs;
  • An interest in Financial Planning and/or Insurance would be an asset;
  • Experience with Dataphile, Envestnet, Salesforce and netx360 would be an asset;
