Job description

Assess individual client investment needs to provide professional, customized investment-related advice, sales, and service. Build client trust by educating them on investment strategies, associated risks, and performance expectations to help achieve their financial goals. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and deliver an exceptional client experience. Identify opportunities for referrals to other business groups. Collaborate within the market, BMO partners, and the community to build relationships and enhance customer satisfaction.

  1. Partner with others to develop business relationships with existing clients.
  2. Coordinate with internal partners to expand business relationships with existing clients.
  3. Schedule and prepare for client portfolio reviews, including setting up calls, meetings, and maintaining records.
  4. Contact clients to discuss/update investment objectives and risk tolerance; ensure portfolios are rebalanced as needed.
  5. Escalate complex or unresolved client situations and complaints.
  6. Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
  7. Prepare financial plans to meet common financial goals, e.g., retirement.
  8. Provide advice on tax efficiency, legal implications, financial impact, and fees, or engage appropriate partners.
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  10. Manage databases and support analysis, forecasting, and data visualization, ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
  11. Assist in creating new investment portfolios and recommend necessary changes.
  12. Assess fees, determine overall household fees, and coordinate with internal partners.
  13. Manage support office operations; train new team members and branch support staff.
  14. Develop business with clients and prospects using proactive selling and marketing techniques.
  15. Explain and implement investment concepts, portfolio construction, and wealth management strategies.
  16. Support branch or team objectives by identifying opportunities to improve profitability, share of wallet, and client loyalty.
  17. Monitor sales and service performance to identify gaps, issues, and best practices.
  18. Support business strategy development and planning activities.
  19. Fulfills sales and service activities in compliance with regulations.
  20. Maintain confidentiality of client and bank information.
  21. Adhere to risk mitigation policies and industry regulations.
  22. Focus may be on a specific business or group.
  23. Think creatively and propose new solutions.
  24. Exercise judgment to diagnose and solve problems within rules.
  25. Work mostly independently; broader responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Securities Course & Conduct and Practices Handbook.
  • Registration as a Registered Representative (RR).
  • Compliance with IIROC Continuing Education requirements.
  • Completion of WME within 30 months of RR license.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth influence skills.
Salary:

$39,500.00 - $73,200.00

Salaried & Commission
