Job summary

Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. in Vancouver is seeking a full-time Investment Associate to join Lori Pinkowski’s team.

The role supports discretionary portfolios, performs market monitoring, trading support and research, and assists with client communications and account administration. The successful candidate will have a CIRO license, 3–5 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment.

Qualifications

• Good standing CIRO license (CSC, CPH) is required;
• 3-5 years of relevant experience;
• Analytical, curious and market-focused thinker;
• Strong communication and writing skills;
• Winning and positive attitude;
• Highly motivated with ability to work independently and in a team;
• High attention to detail;
• Strong knowledge of Excel;
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills;

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring and updating proprietary model portfolios;
• Support investment process through data gathering and documentation;
• Track and summarize news flow, earnings releases, and market-moving events;
• Maintain updates on economic and market conditions and relay highlights to the Portfolio Manager;
• Provide support in preparing investment notes and client materials;
• Assist in client-friendly communications on market conditions and inquiries;
• Handle day-to-day administrative tasks related to portfolio management and client accounts;
• Support bulk trading initiatives and ensure proper documentation;
• Support trade execution across equities, fixed income, and FX;
• Assist with portfolio rebalancing according to model guidelines;
• Monitor security prices and flag entry/exit levels;
• Manage client accounts including cash balances and debits.

Research Support Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring and updating proprietary model portfolios;
• Support the team’s established investment process through data gathering and documentation;
• Track and summarize news flow, earnings releases, and market-moving events;
• Maintain regular updates on economic and market conditions and relay key highlights to the Portfolio Manager;
• Provide support in the preparation of investment notes, as well as internal and external materials;
• Assist in the preparation of client-friendly communications on market conditions, trends, and investment inquiries.

Trading & Portfolio Administration Support

• Handle day-to-day administrative tasks related to portfolio management and client accounts;
• Support bulk trading initiatives and ensure proper documentation and follow up.
• Support trade execution processes across equities, fixed income, and FX;
• Assist withportfoliorebalancing according to model guidelines;
• Monitor security prices and flag potential entry or exit levels for review;
  Assist with managing client accounts, including tracking cash balances and debit positions
