- Review and synthesize investment, financial, governance, and stewardship information and translate complex material into clear, accurate written materials for external audiences.
- Draft, edit, proofread, and format investment‑related publication content, including narrative, performance data, tables, and charts, for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Apply established standards for investment‑return presentation, benchmarks, disclosures, accessibility, and document control, and coordinate with subject‑matter experts to resolve questions or discrepancies.
- Manage publication work plans, schedules, document versions, approvals, and deliverables, and coordinate with designers, printers, web administrators, and other external service providers.

The SBI is conducting a search for a detail‑oriented and mission‑driven Investment Analyst, Publications, to support its Stewardship function. This position offers a strong opportunity for an investment professional with experience or interest in publications or communications to contribute to a leading public pension fund.
Reporting to the Senior Investment Officer, Head of Stewardship, this position is responsible for supporting the development, production, and distribution of the SBI's external‑facing investment publications, including the annual report, stewardship report, investment prospectuses, and investment reports. The Investment Analyst, Stewardship, works closely with investment staff and other internal subject‑matter experts, external service providers, and content partners to translate complex investment information into accurate, clear, and accessible publications.
The position requires familiarity with institutional investment concepts and the ability to work with information related to portfolio strategy, asset allocation, investment performance, benchmarks, and investment stewardship activities. The Investment Analyst, Publications, helps ensure that the SBI’s publications accurately communicate the fund’s investment activities and performance and are produced in accordance with applicable standards, established processes, and publications deadlines.

- Maintain effective working relationships across investment, finance, legal, communications, and other teams, and identify opportunities to improve publication processes, document quality, and recurring investment reporting.
Candidates must meet all of the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial communications, investment reporting, publications, communications, editorial or content production, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience drafting, editing, proofreading, and synthesizing complex financial, investment, technical, or similarly specialized information into clear, accurate written materials for a variety of audiences.
- Working knowledge of institutional investment concepts, including asset allocation, investment performance, portfolio benchmarks, investment vehicles, and broad asset class objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple teams, manage concurrent projects and deadlines, and produce high‑quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including experience working from established templates, style guides, and other content standards.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following:
- Professional experience with an institutional investor, asset manager, investment consultant, financial institution, or other investment‑related organization.
- Experience supporting investment reporting, investment communications, investor relations, client reporting, or publications for an asset owner, public or corporate plan sponsor, endowment, foundation, or related organization.
- Familiarity with financial markets, investment vehicles, asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment performance measurement, and broad asset class objectives. Experience reviewing, interpreting, or presenting investment performance or other financial data for internal and external audiences. Experience drafting or editing content involving regulatory disclosures or compliance‑sensitive language, including the presentation of investment returns and benchmarks.
- Knowledge of public pension investing, governance, fiduciary responsibilities, or stewardship practices.
- Experience working with external vendors such as graphic designers, printers, or web administrators to produce final materials.
- Experience with content management systems or web publishing platforms.
- Experience with accessibility and ADA tagging tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Pro, Contrast Checker).
