What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC Wood Gundy, you will be responsible for building and growing client portfolios through dedicated relationship management, trusted investment advice, and exceptional client service. You will use the tools provided by CIBC Wood Gundy to research investment products and make recommendations to prospects and clients. You will work within a team focused on delivering an integrated wealth management offer, providing tailored financial solutions. You will leverage your knowledge and skills to deliver trusted investment advice, focusing on personalized solutions that align with clients' financial goals, current financial situation, risk profile, and time horizon. Investment Advisors are expected to build and maintain their own portfolios of high-net-worth clients using various prospecting methods such as telemarketing, networking, seminars, trade shows, and other sales and marketing tools. You will own processes and milestones, connecting people and networks, drawing on the bank's broader team to support our community.

How you'll succeed

Client Service: Attract and develop a consistent client base by understanding individual needs and opportunities, analyzing trends, and managing time effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Relationship Building: Network, prospect, and build strong, trusting client relationships, nurturing existing relationships for referrals.

Sales & Marketing: Use presentation skills to convey ideas and prepare proposals and seminar materials.

Investing: Develop investment plans and proposals, analyzing information to suit client circumstances.

Collaborating: Participate in seminars and team collaborations, demonstrating effective communication skills.

Who you are

You value trust, teamwork, and accountability. You act like an owner, thrive when empowered, and enjoy analyzing complex problems and communicating detailed information confidently. You have a related degree/diploma or relevant experience, and are currently registered as a Registered Representative with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, with current accreditation including CSC and CPH.
