As part of the commitment to OneTD, team members collaborate closely with each other to fully franchise the client while delivering the full spectrum of PWM services – Private Investment Advice, Private Investment Counsel, Private Banking, Private Trust and Wealth Advisory Services.

TD Wealth Private Investment Advice (TDW PIA) is one of Canada's premier full-service brokerage firms for clients who want to stay involved in decisions about their portfolios. TDW PIA offers high-net-worth clients the opportunity to establish a one-on-one relationship with a dedicated and professional Investment Advisor, while maintaining active participation in decisions regarding their financial affairs. PIA Investment Advisors will conduct an in-depth review of the client's investment goals, philosophies and risk tolerance, and work with them to develop and document their personalized investment strategy.

The Investment Advisor will attract and advise on the financial assets of affluent clients looking for the opportunity to establish a one-on-one relationship with a dedicated professional while maintaining active participation in the decisions regarding their financial affairs. The IA will conduct an in-depth review of the client's investment goals, philosophies and risk tolerance, and work with them to develop and document their personalized investment strategy which includes advice on financial products, insurance and estate planning.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and leverage your wealth planning discovery skills and expertise to produce a high-quality plan that is relevant to your client's wealth considerations
  • Provide goals-based wealth advice across a full range of product and service solutions
  • Make recommendations to the client regarding their portfolio's construction, security selection, monitoring, rebalancing and make referrals to Wealth or TDCT partners that match the client’s needs
  • Prospect, market and develop pipeline for the process of putting business plan into action by identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients and external referral sources to build client base and market share
  • Develop / implement sales strategies to proactively attract, acquire and retain customers / sales opportunities and referrals, to increase profitability and enable business growth
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working directly in a client-facing, sales or relationship-focused role
  • You have strong relationship building skills and an ability to connect with all types of individuals.
  • You have a passion for financial advisory & planning and a keen interest in portfolio management.
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Licensed with CIRO as a Registered Representative (RR)
  • Life Insurance License (LLQP) must be obtained with within 3 months of hire
  • CIWM, CFP is an asset
