Job Responsibilities

The Investment Accounting Analyst will:

  • Support investment accounting infrastructure, processes, and reporting
  • Analyze and summarize investment reports for management decisions
  • Maintain and monitor investment portfolios and cash flows
  • Participate in projects, providing investment reporting and operational advice
  • Recommend process improvements for reporting efficiencies
Accountabilities
Investment Reporting:
  • Generate and analyze reports, record journal entries, and ensure accuracy
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly investment reports for financial and regulatory reporting
  • Coordinate with external partners like investment managers
Investment Analysis:
  • Compile data from various sources and recommend process improvements
  • Perform ad hoc analyses
  • Create tracking tools and databases for decision-making
Investment Processing:
  • Maintain investment portfolios and upload trades
  • Manage daily cash flows and transfers
  • Implement and monitor control mechanisms
  • Support new process implementations for investment systems
Investment Controls:
  • Ensure controls are in place to protect data integrity
  • Resolve data conflicts for accurate reporting
  • Adhere to SOX controls
Qualifications
  • Degree in accounting or business
  • Knowledge of investment accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Bonus Qualifications
  • CPA or CFA designation or working towards it
  • SAP experience
