Founded in 1983, Bimcor, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Canada, manages $30 billion invested in a wide range of public and private financial assets, mainly on behalf of pension funds of Bell Canada and its subsidiaries and affiliates. It ranks as one of the largest private-sector pension fund managers in Canada.
The Investment Accountant is responsible for ensuring Bimcor’s Investment Accounting records are accurate and in line with the Trustee. Investment transactions may include pooled funds, private placements managed by Bimcor and external managers, alternative assets such as real estate, private equity, private infrastructure, private credit, absolute return strategies, as well as derivative financial instruments like futures, options, swaps, repos, and currency hedges.
The incumbent provides support in preparing accurate and timely transactional and financial statements for investment professionals and clients. These records are vital for decision-making, cash flow management, performance benchmarking, and legal compliance.
