Investigator, Loss Prevention

The Investigator protects company assets from fraud and internal/external loss.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Routinely walk floor to observe, identify dishonest persons both externally and internally
2. Observe and dispatch by monitoring CCTV system
3. Apprehend shoplifters and maintain records of apprehensions
4. Testify at criminal proceedings as appropriate
5. Conduct periodic P.O.S. audits
6. Conduct internal investigations as required with confidentiality
7. Analyze and follow up on transactional reporting
8. Minimize company loss due to paperwork errors
9. Support Operations and Sales teams with inventory counts, shortage programs, and unsaleables
10. Respond to emergencies in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate follow up reporting
11. Provide support and follow up on audits to ensure compliance
12. Comply with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
13. Perform other duties, as assigned

The ideal candidate:

1. College Degree
2. 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity
3. Kinesic interview techniques or other interviewing/interrogation training
4. Previous experience in a retail environment
5. Standard first aid, CPR OPA Level II
6. Maintain provincial guard license
7. Fully bilingual in French and in English.

Hiring Range: $20.00 - $22.00 (per hour)
Final compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's unique skills, expertise, individual qualifications, and assessed contributions to the role following the completion of the interview process. The range stated is the starting range for this position. Offers may vary with experience, qualifications, performance, and local market conditions.
