Investigator

Summary

As an Investigator at Holt Renfrew, you will play a crucial role in protecting company assets and ensuring a safe environment for clients and associates. You will be responsible for conducting investigations, monitoring security systems, and supporting operational and sales teams.

Responsibilities

1. Open and close the store following all Holt Renfrew procedures.
2. Perform operational and inventory control audits to ensure compliance.
3. Support inventory counts, shortage programs, and manage unsaleable articles.
4. Conduct routine floor walks and inspections.
5. Monitor CCTV systems and dispatch as necessary.
6. Conduct internal and external investigations.
7. Apprehend shoplifters and maintain investigation documentation.
8. Testify at criminal proceedings when required.
9. Comply with Health & Safety policies and respond to emergencies.
10. Act as a Health and Safety advocate in the store.

Requirements

1. 1+ years of experience in Loss Prevention or Safety & Security roles.
2. Valid provincial security license and first aid certification.
3. Strong customer service and approachability skills.
4. Previous investigative and interview training is an asset.
5. Problem-solving and de-escalation skills are an asset.
6. Ability to maintain clear field notes and investigation reports.
