Overview

What is the opportunity?

As the Investigations Officer you are responsible for the end to end investigation and resolution of client and internal general ledger adjustments processed as a result of image capture processing. As you work with your team and individually, you will also ensure all individual activities are completed on time and per quality thresholds to minimize the risk of financial loss and negative client impact.

What will you do?
  • Responsible for the investigation and resolution of client and general ledger adjustments resulting from image capture processing.
  • Investigate root cause of adjustments and identifying the appropriate resolving actions
  • Identify and escalate repeated errors to point of negotiation to ensure future risk and negative client experiences are mitigated
  • Complete resolving actions and engage service partners as needed to conclude
  • Ensure any items intended for clearing and settlement to other Financial Institutions are processed in a timely manner, minimizing financial risk
  • Responsible for the delivery of high quality service to clients and service partners, including high levels of accuracy and adherence to agreed upon service levels and timeframes
  • Ensure full compliance to all controls, both regulatory and internal, including RBC policies and processes and the Canadian Payments Association (CPA) clearing rules
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying and recommending solutions to recurring errors, service gaps and process efficiency and effectiveness enhancements
