Job description

As Investigation Leader, Application Services, you’re part of the Stability and Business Relations team for the business sectors served by the Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance Projects and IT Division. Your team handles major incidents, issues and pain points at the business sectors proactively, quickly and efficiently. Your goal is to prioritize stable environments and the user experience in the delivery of application services by advising teams and service owners and helping them resolve incidents and coordinate management of issues for our IT services . More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Launch an investigation bridge and stay on it until the issue is resolved (act as leader, facilitator and conductor, confirm and verify incident resolution)

  • Make sure you have the appropriate technical information to quickly get the right people with the right skills to resolve the incident

  • Facilitate discussion and communication between IT specialists to resolve major incidents

  • Work with IT suppliers and partners when they're involved

  • Escalate all situations that require a manager to act quickly

  • Make sure everyone involved understands the incident and has all the technical resources they need

  • Share information about actions taken to resolve the incident and the timeframe for resolution (provide regular status updates to executives)

  • Take part in the post-mortem and provide comprehensive information about the incident

  • Serve as an advisor on the evolution of the IT Officer stability strategy

  • Help manage problems under our responsibility to assist problem coordinators

  • Work with other investigation leaders to identify areas for improvement to reduce the number of incidents involving the Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance Projects and IT Division’s application IT services

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Intermediateknowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Proficiency in stability processes (major incident management, change management, problem management)

  • Available 24/7 as an on-call advisor with pay
