Job Purpose

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing inventory levels in the warehouse, and for Field Service Technicians including replenishment coverages, and ensuring products and inventory are moving to the right location at the right time, with the right volume. The incumbent’s primary objective will be to ensure that all necessary inventory is readily available, enabling our technicians to efficiently carry out their duties in providing exceptional service to our customers.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the entire inventory management process, including stock levels, replenishment, and tracking of equipment, tools, and supplies used by field service technicians.
  • Documentation and reporting: Generate accurate reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends, providing insights and recommendations to management for efficient inventory management practices.
  • Monitor supply and demand imbalances and communications/escalate to necessary stakeholders
  • Create the monthly Supply / Inventory Plans
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to field service technicians on inventory management procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
  • Analyze regional and sub-regional inventory level by product, and re-balance inventory based on sales trend, product trend, and other ad hoc programs.
  • Identify and escalate inventory issues and risks (shortages, excesses) and assist with mitigation plan.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including field service technicians, branch coordinators, and management, to optimize inventory management processes and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Prioritizing, planning, delegating, and controlling workflow.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of supply chain planning experience, with a minimum of 1 year in inventory management
  • Creative problem solver and constant desire to move business forward
  • Strong quantitative, analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, comfortable building data models and manipulating large data sets
  • Familiarity/expertise in SAP planning systems preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and follow through.
  • High school Diploma minimum
