Job Overview

An Inventory Merchandiser manages and organizes vehicle inventory, ensuring vehicles are properly displayed, labeled, and ready for sale or auction. Responsibilities include arranging vehicles for optimal space and appeal, conducting inventory audits, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with sales teams to align inventory with customer demand and business goals. Additional tasks may include vehicle photography for online listings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Post pictures of vehicles
2. Stock vehicles into internal systems
3. Coordinate with sales and service managers to facilitate inventory movement
4. Maintain accurate inventory records
5. Conduct physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
6. Monitor inventory levels
7. Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of vehicles
8. Update inventory status
9. Generate and analyze inventory reports
10. Support inventory needs across departments
11. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
12. Perform vehicle appraisals
13. Buy cars from customers, online, or auctions

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• OMVIC certification
• Experience in automotive or hospitality industry preferred
• Knowledge of CDK or similar systems an asset
• Professionalism and excellent customer service skills
• Conscientious, thorough, and reliable
• Strong communication skills
• Efficient typing skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Practical judgment and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in document creation and proofreading
• Results-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Bilingual in French and English preferred
