Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking an Inventory Lead for our Markham, ON operation. You will optimize total inventory, improve product availability to customers, and positively impact financials.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize inventory across the Canadian network and improve product availability.
  • Manage lifecycle and expiry risks; retrieve inventory when obsolete or needed.
  • Coordinate deployments and retrievals of field inventory with planning and delivery teams.
  • Maintain SOx controls for inventory in consignment and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Collaborate with commercial, finance and local/regional supply chain teams to improve processes.

As an Inventory Lead, you will play a key role in the optimization of our total inventory, including field inventory, improving product availability to customers and positively impacting our financials. You will work in collaboration with our Supply Chain Planning and our Commercial and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working Capital efficiency: using sales data, identify and recommend actions to optimize inventory across the Canadian network. Provide recommendations to place inventory where it could increase turns and retrieve inventory when and where it is no longer needed.
  • Life Cycle Management: based on Marketing portfolio timelines, retrieve inventory from consignment locations as soon as product lines become obsolete, customer account is closed, or new technology is deployed.
  • Expiry Management: establish a process to identify expiry risk and take action to retrieve inventory before it expires.
  • Complete deployments and retrievals of field inventory in coordination with the Supply Planning and Deliver teams in accordance with overall consigned inventory strategy
  • Ensure positive relationship and end-to-end alignment with key functions: commercial organizations, local and regional supply chain organizations
  • Find opportunities for continuous improvement to be implemented in functional processes.
  • Responsible for the execution of the SOx controls for inventory in consignment.
Qualifications:
  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor Degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Required:
  • Minimum four (4) years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Experience in supply chain
  • Strong background in data and analytics
  • Strong Financial Competence and strong understanding of impact of Supply Chain in the overall profitability of the organization.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate and engage with multiple partners and at different levels of the organization.
  • Highly developed organizational skills - able to handle multiple high priority tasks/projects concurrently.
  • Self-starter and problem-solving mentality
  • Preferred:
  • Cross-functional experience in Supply Chain in a Medical Devices or MedTech organization.
  • Experience with consignment inventory, preferrably in hospitals or clinics.
  • Other:
  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other sites and locations
