Xanadu in Toronto is seeking an Inventory Control specialist to manage MES development, asset tracking, and inventory compliance in a cutting-edge photonic hardware lab.

Qualifications

Your role and responsibilities:

As part of the Inventory Control team, you will be responsible for high-level inventory control duties for a cutting-edge photonic hardware lab located in Toronto. Your primary responsibilities will include Manufacturing Execution System (MES) development, asset tracking and management, inventory management, periodic internal auditing, and the enforcement of inventory control policies. Additionally, you will help ensure that all aspects of the lab run smoothly, which may include assisting with equipment setup, handling sensitive materials, installation, cleaning, and other general operational tasks. You possess a proven track record of organizational excellence, a strong work ethic, and experience working with delicate equipment.

  • Develop and maintain our Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Basic qualifications and experience:

  • 1+ years of experience with an Manufacturing Execution System development or maintenance
  • 2+ years of work experience in a relevant area (inventory control, compliance, MES developer, data management, auditor, semiconductor fabrication)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite/GSuite
  • Exceptional interpersonal and time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated worker able to carry out tasks and complete daily mission-critical checklists effectively and consistently
  • Highly organized with a meticulous, detail-oriented working style

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Experience working in a cleanroom/laboratory environment or in a facility with sensitive equipment
  • Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, SAP, MS Dynamics, etc.)
  • Able to lift over 30lbs on occasion (when handling equipment and deliveries)

This is for a new position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 70,000 - 90,000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
