Job Summary

The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include miscellaneous activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity
  • Maintain product identification and location program
  • Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them
  • Responsible for completing physical inventories / cycle counts / random or receipt audits / reconciliations
  • Track and report non-conforming product
  • Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
  • Document damaged product
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as part of the job function
  • Must be able to pass the MHE certification test and drive a Reach Truck / Order Picker on a daily basis

Education & Experience

  • Must have a high diploma, GED or equivalent for this position

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Relevant warehouse experience within the last 5 years
  • Recent experience with Cycle counting / inventory
  • Must be certified to operate forklift / reach truck at current or previous company. Reach Truck and Order Picker are required
  • Must be computer literate and have experience in any WMS. Manhattan WMS is preferred
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data
  • Customer Service focus with the ability to build and maintain strong working and vendor relationships
  • Excellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
  • Professional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrity
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
  • Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Microsoft Office and communicating effectively via email and phone frequently

Operational Equipment

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility
  • Required to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. and consistently 50lbs
