Job Description

Inventory Control Clerk

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Inventory Control Coordinator, the Clerk will be responsible to maintain the inventory records of supplies, tools, and equipment and will maintain required quantities of stock in the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Records the inventory of all storeroom items
  2. Maintains database, updating records to record supplies and materials received and dispensed
  3. Conducts physical inventories on a routine schedule
  4. Verifies inventory records and corrects discrepancies
  5. Receiving and sorting incoming spare parts, components and supplies in the appropriate locations
  6. Ensures parts information is cataloged in the system and bins are properly labeled
  7. Issue and distribute parts to maintenance personnel for internal usage
  8. Maintain and enforce quality standards and good housekeeping protocols within the maintenance shop and spare parts stock room
  9. Prepare parts kitting rack against schedule Work order
  10. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required
  2. Forklift License is an asset
  3. Proficient computer skills with the ability to update and maintain computer inventory records
  4. Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Must be able to traverse the storeroom quickly and efficiently
  7. Physically able to maintain storeroom inventory and cleanliness
  8. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
  9. Detail-oriented with good analytical skills, and be able to work independently when needed
