Inventory Control Analyst / Purchaser

Position description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst / Purchaser to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members in both Canada and Asia to ensure timely delivery of goods while maximizing sales and inventory efficiency. You will also play a key role in supporting the implementation of our new ERP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our factory to develop and maintain a master production schedule aligned with sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze inventory data to provide actionable insights for the sales team.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support sales goals while meeting company working capital objectives.
  • Evaluate and execute make-versus-buy decisions to enhance service levels and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare accurate quotations for the sales team.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely tracking and follow-up.
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of the Epicor Kinetic ERP system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory analysis, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and inventory cost fundamentals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis tools and functions.
  • Proven ability to manage and organize large datasets, with experience in conducting statistical analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic ERP system is preferred
