Job description

Our client has an immediate opportunity for an Inventory Clerk to join their team.

We are currently looking for a full-time Inventory Clerk to join our Warehouse Team. This role reports directly to the Purchaser and will be responsible for procuring and replenishing commodities, services, supplies, and equipment, maintaining parts inventory to ensure critical spare parts are available as needed. In addition, this position is responsible for:

  1. Receiving and distributing all incoming supplies and equipment
  2. Working in stockroom/warehouse
  3. Restocking deliveries and incoming orders
  4. Stocking parts and keeping track of inventory through computer systems – daily visual check of critical parts is necessary
  5. Keeping stockroom in order, rearranging stock, cleaning shelves, and keeping stock room neat and cleaned daily
  6. Tracking, developing, and maintaining processes for ensuring accurate inventory management
  7. Reconciling any discrepancies in inventory data
  8. Placing product orders with manufacturers/distributors to fulfill inventory needs
  9. Working and collaborating with team members to report stock issues
  10. Ensuring Shipping/Receiving tasks are completed on a daily basis and stock issues corrected
  11. Performing all other duties as assigned

Compensation Package includes:

  1. $24-27/hr based on experience
  2. Benefits including extended health, vision care, and dental care
  3. On-the-job training; additional paid training
  4. Group RRSP match to a maximum of 2%
  5. Group Life and Accident Insurance
  6. Two (2) weeks vacation
  7. Eleven (11) paid holidays

Skills & Abilities:

  1. Strict attention to detail and a basic knowledge and understanding of machinery, parts, tools, and processes
  2. Detail and results-oriented
  3. Understanding the importance of inventory control and accurate counts and the impact on maintenance
  4. Kitting/parting out job for maintenance
  5. Strong organization skills
  6. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  7. Team player but still motivated to complete tasks independently as required
  8. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs and computerized inventory systems
  9. Work with minimal supervision
  10. Must be physically capable of bending, reaching, and lifting a maximum of 50lbs.
  11. Availability to work 45 hrs per week; additional time may be required to ensure inventory is readily available to maintain mill processes

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum high school diploma
  2. Three (3) plus years stockroom/warehouse or parts counter experience
  3. Experience in business administration, finance, or analytics would be an asset
