Job summary

Medline Canada is seeking an Inventory Associate in Guelph, Ontario. You will perform cycle counts, manage stock, and utilize SAP and Microsoft Office to ensure inventory accuracy. The role requires root-cause analysis and reconciliation of discrepancies to maintain precise records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prev. experience in inventory control, cycle counting or related roles.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment with licensed forklifts.
  • Raymond Reach / Order Picker is a bonus.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good listening and problem resolution skills; organized.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • High sense of urgency and customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
  • Comfortable working at heights and with GMP practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Reconcile records between physical counts and system data.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize SAP to issue, transfer, and adjust inventory.
  • Manage inventory by blocking/releasing due to stock checks and recalls.
  • Create approvals for inventory movement with proper documentation.
  • Assist in improving inventory processes and procedures.
  • Adjust damaged/returned products and verify receipt against authorization.
  • Complete tasks and documentation in GMP-compliant manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Job Description Summary

Reporting to the National Inventory Manager, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Associate to join our team. As an Inventory Associate, you will be responsible for performing cycle counts, creating approvals, managing stock, and utilizing the SAP system along with Microsoft Office programs to ensure accurate inventory. Additionally, you will play a key role in performing root cause analysis and reconciling discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.

Job Description
  • Position Type: Temporary, Full Time
  • Location: Guelph, Ontario
  • Report to: National Sr. Inventory Manager/Warehouse Supervisor
  • Shift: Mon-Fri: 8:00AM-4:30PM
  • Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and reconcile any discrepancies found
  • Perform root cause analysis to investigate and identify the underlying causes of inventory discrepancies and develop corrective actions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues
  • Reconcile inventory records, including identifying and rectifying discrepancies between physical counts and system data
  • Ensure compliance with established inventory control policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize the SAP ERP system to perform inventory-related transactions, such as, issuing, transferring, and adjusting inventory
  • Manages inventory by blocking and releasing inventory due to stock checks, damage to products, quality purposes and product recall
  • Create approvals for inventory movement, ensuring proper authorization and documentation
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of inventory management processes and procedures
  • Adjust damaged and returned products and verifies receipt against approved authorization.
  • Completes all activities and documentation, accurately, and in a timely basis in compliance with GMP and company procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related roles is preferred
  • The ability to operate material handling equipment - licensed with any one of the following forklifts
  • Raymond Reach, Order (Cherry) Picker is a bonus
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong listening and problem resolution skills; strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • High sense of urgency and customer service
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, ex: excel, and word
  • Comfortable working at heights (Operating MHE)
  • Safety conscious with the ability to operate material handling equipment (not limited to motorized forklifts) and lift up to 50 lbs in weight

The anticipated salary range for this position: $19.81 - $29.71 Hourly
