A non-profit organization in Vancouver seeks an Invasive Species Program Coordinator to manage invasive species and engage the public through education and outreach. This role offers a mix of field and office work, aimed at protecting biodiversity and supporting youth professional development.
Reporting To: Manager, Science
Location: Vancouver
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday; some mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel)
Term: 12 weeks, June – August 2025

The Invasive Species Council of BC is seeking an Invasive Species Program Coordinator for new and rewarding challenges in an ever-changing and collaborative environment. This role primarily involves invasive species management (survey, reporting, control, monitoring) and public engagement (coordination, outreach, education).
The Council is a provincial non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring resilient landscapes and habitats from invasive species. For over 20 years, it has developed outreach, training, and skill development programs, working closely with partners including the Indigenous Invasive Species Network, Local Government Invasive Species Network, and the Province of BC.
This role is funded to support the professional development of youth in the environmental field. Applicants must be thirty (30) years of age or younger at the start of the project.
