Job summary

Globeducate International Schools is seeking an Accountant to support the Controller in delivering timely monthly financial reporting and to record transactions, process accruals, and reconcile accounts.

The successful candidate will possess a degree or diploma in business, finance, or accounting and demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements.
• Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial dashboard.
• Experience with QuickBooks or other similar accounting software.
• Ability to extract data from financial systems and manipulate in Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with superior attention to details.
• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
• High level of integrity and excellent work ethic.
• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close and generate financial reports.
• Record transactions, process accruals and adjustments, reconcile accounts.
• Maintain year-end working papers and support audits or reviews.
• Collect, interpret, and report on financial data.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and perform expense analysis.
• Approve EFT payments and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Maintain documentation trail for all activities.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned.
