Job summary

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, part of the Island Health Respirology Division, invites a full-time General Respirologist to join two colleagues in providing shared respirology services at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

The successful candidate will hold Royal College certification in Respirology and be eligible for full licensure with CPSBC, with duties including clinics, PFT interpretation, bronchoscopy, and hospital consults.

Qualifications

• Royal College certification in Respirology (or equivalent).
• Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.

The successful candidate will hold Royal College certification in Respirology and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (315 acute care beds) which is our regional referral hospital providing services to an immediate population of 125,000 and a secondary referral population of over 350,000. Hospital based services include EEG, EMG, a rehabilitation inpatient unit, CT and MRI.

Academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Island Medical School postgraduate and undergraduate programs is available, and NRGH is a UBC Postgraduate Family Practice Residency Program site with 16 family practice residents.
