Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Internal Auditor to perform operational, compliance and financial audits across key areas. This hands-on role requires understanding complex business processes and risks related to business processes, compliance, and technology.

You will provide consultative support to business partners to identify opportunities for control improvements. The position offers exposure to asset and wealth management and the chance to transition back to a broader operational audit

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in public accounting or internal audit.
• Solid understanding of internal control concepts.
• Experience at a financial services firm is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Execute audit programs across key business areas, testing internal controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with auditees and communicate across the audit lifecycle.
• Assist in planning, fieldwork, reporting, and remediation validation of audits.
• Document risk and controls matrices, process flows, and testing results.
• Perform design and operating effectiveness testing to assess control effectiveness and remediation.
• Evaluate current controls and suggest automation opportunities to streamline processes.
• Coordinate SOC1 and SOC2 report activities with third parties and management.

Our client offers asset and wealth management. They are looking for an Internal Auditor who will be responsible for performing operational, compliance and financial audits across key areas for the company. This is a hands-on role that will require knowledge of complex business processes and a range of risks related to business processes, compliance, and technology. The role will also require providing consultative support to business partners to identify opportunities for control improvements.

About the Opportunity

• Ability to execute audit programs across key business areas, ensuring thorough examination and testing of internal controls.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with areas under audit, facilitating effective communication throughout the audit lifecycle, from planning to execution and improvement recommendations.
• Assist with executing all phases of planned operational audits including performing audit testing and gathering and analyzing evidence.
• Complete documentation, including risk and controls matrices and process flowcharts, and testing results.
• Perform design and operating effectiveness testing to assess control effectiveness, including remediation validation, and roll-forward testing.
• Continuously evaluate current controls and recommend ways to rationalize and optimize controls through automation.
• Assist in the coordination and receipt of SOC1 and SOC2 reports from third party providers; completed SOC report assessments; and work with management to identify and document controls necessary to rely upon such reports

About You

• CISA, CISM, CIA, CPA and or relative certification is an asset.
• 2 years experience in Public accounting or internal audit background.
• Solid understanding of internal control concepts
• Experience at a financial services firm an asset

Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000/year

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, and other business and organizational needs. • The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
