CC&L Financial Group is seeking an Intern to join our Strategy & Change Management Team for a 4-month term (May - August 2025).

What do we offer a Private Client Intern?

A dynamic, fast-paced work environment where opportunities for learning and growth are abound. The Intern, Strategy & Change Management plays a key role in supporting strategic projects across Connor, Clark & Lunn Private Capital, providing market, competitive and customer intelligence, building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting the strategic planning process.

As an Intern, Strategy & Change Management, you will support in two primary areas:

  1. Strategic and change management advisory services
    • Support strategy development, including research, analysis and compelling strategic recommendations that solve business problems.
    • Gather data and perform financial analyses to identify opportunities and diagnose issues.
    • Create financial models to assess future state financial benefits/costs.
    • Contribute to problem solving sessions, workshops and interviews with cross-functional and business line working team members and subject matter experts.
    • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives.
  2. Market, customer, and competitive assessment
    • Provide key market, customer and competitive assessments for the overall Wealth and Financial Services industry, as well as for specific project needs, including:
      • Key industry trends impacting Wealth and Financial Services industry, including regulatory, customer, geographical, innovation, etc., leveraging external industry and analyst reports, as well as through monthly internal discussions.
      • Key competitive insights (financial, market, innovation, etc.), including robust benchmarking of key performance metrics that would help surface gaps/opportunities.
    • Review and generate insights using other internal reports.
    • Champion a client-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader relationships, systems and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience

The Intern, Strategy & Change Management position is geared toward students either in their third/fourth year of an undergraduate degree or MBA with a focus on Finance, Business, Engineering, and/or Economics. We are seeking ambitious students with a strong academic track record, who are interested in making an impact in process efficiencies at CC&L.

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have:

  • At least one previous internship or professional experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and influential capabilities.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, ability to discern research information/data and focus on the critical business issues.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge with other MS Office products including Word and PowerPoint.
