Job summary

Nutrien invites motivated students for a co-op at our Saskatoon corporate office starting May 2027 for a four-month term. This temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position is open to current students who will return to studies afterward.

You will support category management initiatives, gather market intelligence, and help prepare reports and analyses to guide sourcing decisions. Strong analytical and Excel skills are essential, with a Commerce or Engineering background preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Commerce or Engineering with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support category management initiatives for mining equipment and services by conducting spend analysis, market research, and supplier assessments to identify cost-saving and value creation opportunities
• Assisted in the development of sourcing strategies by gathering supplier and market intelligence, evaluating industry trends, and supporting contract and category reviews
• Collaborated with operations, maintenance, and supply chain stakeholders to understand business requirements, support supplier performance discussions, and contribute to continuous improvement within assigned categories
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and analysis to support category managers in making informed business decisions
