Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Intern, Field Service Representative (4 to 12-month) - Dartmouth, NS.

The hourly rate for this position is $22 - $26 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Eaton's Electrical sector has an opening for a 4 to 12-month, Intern Field Service Representative position to be based in Dartmouth, NS.

This position is scheduled to start in Spring 2027.

Primary Function:

This position is responsible for working with the Electrical Engineering Service & Systems group to provide on-site engineering and technical assistance in areas of electrical equipment maintenance, new equipment commissioning, custom electrical equipment modification, wiring, controls, drives and breakers.

Essential Functions:

• Assist Field Service personnel in a wide variety of electrical work
• Assist in creating detailed and quality reports to customers covering the scope of work performed
• Follow required safety practices
• Manage paperwork and office procedures, as required
• Perform all work at a high level of quality
• Be willing and available to work evenings and weekends, as required by our customers. Travel may be required
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards
• Perform other duties, as required

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Apprenticeship Program
• This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within 120 km of the work location to be considered
• Valid driver's license required
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• 0 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing electrical controls and/or power distribution products
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytic skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good attitude and work ethic
