Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Saint-Laurent, QC invites a 2nd/3rd year engineering student to join the Facilities Planning and Infrastructure Project Management team for Winter 2027. You will help establish client requirements, support facility layout workshops, and draft floor plans using AutoCAD to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd year industrial, mechanical or civil engineering student.
• Strong knowledge in Autodesk AutoCAD; Inventor is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to take initiative and organize work.
• Comfortable in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in French (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Establish and understand clients requirements and priorities
• Participate and/ or animate facility layout workshops with different stakeholders
• Work on autoCAD and Design floor plans for our future assembly lines while:
  • Understanding and meeting the needs of your internal customers;
  • Respecting the best practices used in our manufacturing industry;
  • Optimizing employee safety while maximizing productivity

• Estimate the costs and the implementation schedule
• Plan, execute and control floor plant layout projects that will position the St-Laurent Manufacturing Center for the future;

How to thrive in this role?

• 2nd or 3rd year student in Industrial, mechanical or civil Engineering or a related discipline;
• Strong knowledge in Autodesk Autocad software (Autodesk Inventor is an asset);
• Know how to use the MS Office suite;
• Are an excellent communicator with people skills and have a good team spirit;
• Have a strong analysis and problem solving capacity;
• Have initiative, organizational skills and professional ethics;
• Comfortable working in a unionized manufacturing environment
• Fluent in french (spoken and written)
