Kinaxis Inc. in Ottawa is seeking co-op/intern software developers to help shape the Maestro architecture and prototype new ideas.

You will work within the Architecture & Innovation team, collaborating across product groups to explore solutions for complex software problems. The role targets students in Computer Science or related programs with exposure to Windows/Linux, multiple programming languages, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

• Students in Computer Science or related programs.
• Familiarity with software development in Windows and Linux environment.
• Programming experience with C/C++, .NET/C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, Rust, SQL.
• Experience with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong drive to explore and experiment.

Responsibilities

• Help determine the best architecture and technology solutions for challenging software problems.
• Develop software prototypes to prove out architectural ideas.
• Research and recommend appropriate software technology.
• Test your prototypes for function, performance, and scale.
• May perform additional projects as requested.

About the team

The Architecture & Innovation team works in partnership across the Product Group to deliver major breakthroughs in innovation by driving the evolution of the Maestro architecture and delivering new technology into the product. We perform long-lead design and prototyping work to de-risk major new initiatives and to assist the Product Management team in determining technical feasibility of new product ideas. We help to coordinate the design of new product features across development teams to ensure a consistent technical and architectural approach.

Location

You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office at least three days a week.

Term Duration

This is a full-time, 8, or 12-month position, starting January 2027

Co-op / Intern Eligibility

This position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in full-time education or be a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.

Compensation range

$25.24 - $37.02 hourly rate. The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate’s skills, year of education, and experience.
