Job summary

EQ Bank in Toronto is seeking a Data Science Co-op for the Jan–Apr 2027 term to transform data into actionable insights that support customer growth and business objectives.

You will work on customer analytics, predictive modeling, and performance measurement to personalize journeys, improve marketing effectiveness, and drive engagement and profitability.

Qualifications

• Academic focus in mathematics, statistics, business, or a quantitative discipline.
• Hands on experience with programming languages such as PySpark, SQL, or Python.
• Expert in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer, campaign, and business data to generate insights supporting onboarding, activation, engagement, and growth strategies.
• Assist in developing, monitoring, and evaluating NBA strategies using analytics, modeling, and testing methodologies.
• Support analysis of customer journeys and marketing campaigns to improve customer experience and business performance.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance tracking tools to monitor key metrics.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, and Analytics teams to support data-driven decision-making and campaign measurement.
• Help automate and improve data preparation, reporting, and analytical processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate insights and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Term: January - April 2027

The Data Science Co-op assists in transforming data into actionable insights that support customer growth and business objectives. The role contributes to customer analytics, predictive modeling, and performance measurement initiatives that help personalize customer journeys, improve marketing and channel effectiveness, and identify opportunities to enhance customer engagement and profitability.

The Core Responsibilities of the Job:
