Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Student Intern to support workplace safety, hazard identification, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience with safety programs, processes and compliance while contributing to a culture of health and safety across North America.

This internship offers exposure to real-world projects, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities to develop practical safety skills in a dynamic energy environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Industrial Hygiene or Safety degree program.
  • Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027.
  • Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term.
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term.

Responsibilities

  • Support workplace safety and health initiatives.
  • Assist with hazard identification and risk mitigation activities.
  • Participate in safety program implementation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support safety objectives.
  • Analyze safety-related information and contribute to reporting and documentation activities.
  • Support day-to-day safety management processes and projects as required.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Student Intern to support workplace safety, hazard identification, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across a dynamic operational environment. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience with safety management practices, stakeholder collaboration, and the application of safety principles to support safe and reliable business operations. The Student Intern will gain exposure to safety programs, workplace processes, and compliance-related activities while contributing to a strong culture of health and safety.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Industrial Hygiene or Safety degree program
  • Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
