Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnering with a Calgary-based architecture and design studio to hire an Architectural Intern / Junior Architectural Designer.

This role offers hands-on experience from concept through construction documentation, mentorship from licensed architects, exposure to a variety of project types, and a path toward professional registration. Calgary work, competitive compensation and benefits, and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited Canadian university.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional architectural experience.
• Registered in, or eligible to register with, the Alberta Association of Architects Internship in Architecture Program.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design creativity, technical knowledge, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated team player with a strong desire to continue learning and developing professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of design drawings, Revit models, renderings, and presentation materials.
• Contribute to concept development, space planning, and the production of detailed construction documents.
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to help coordinate project deliverables.
• Attend site visits, field reviews, and assist with construction administration activities.
• Research building materials, products, systems, and current industry trends to support project work.
• Help ensure project documentation complies with applicable building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver creative, functional, and well‑executed architectural solutions within project timelines.
