Qualifications

  • Experienced in feasibility and detailed design for rehabilitation of water infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of CIPP lining and trenchless technologies is an asset.
  • Strong report writing and computer skills required.

GEI Consultants, Ltd is hiring. We’re looking to recruit Intermediate Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our Linear Water and Wastewater Rehabilitation team.

As part of our growing Trenchless and Linear Rehabilitation business, you will work with various municipalities and geographies and develop deep partnerships with our clients, municipalities, managers, consultants, and other offices as we develop solutions to meet our client’s infrastructure needs.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review of CCTV surveys and other inspection and condition assessment reports
  • Rehabilitation planning.
  • Field investigations and surveys.
  • Feasibility, preliminary and detailed design for rehabilitation of linear water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Preparation of tender documents, drawings and construction cost estimates.
  • Provision of site inspection and contract administration services during construction.
  • Preparation of Technical Memorandums and Reports
  • Lead or assist with proposal development
  • Administer and or manage small engineering projects and assist with management of larger engineering projects.
  • Provide support for other asset management, planning, design and construction projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certified or working towards P.Eng or C.E.T License.
  • Inspection and condition assessment of linear water and wastewater infrastructure. NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP certification is a benefit.
  • Experience in feasibility, preliminary and detailed design for rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewers and watermains including maintenance holes and chambers.
  • Site inspection and contract administration services for linear rehabilitation projects. Experience with CIPP lining and other trenchless rehabilitation technologies is a benefit.
  • Able to work with larger infrastructure planning group.
  • Strong computer skills (excel, GIS, etc.) and demonstrated ability in report writing.
  • Strong overall communication skills.
  • Working at heights, Book 7, First Aid, and confined space entry training and experience are a benefit.
  • Physical and environment requirements for this position are available upon request.
