Job Description :

The Intermediate Transportation Modeler is responsible for planning and managing projects involving multimodal transportation planning and traffic engineering. We are also developing a strong market presence in new mobility planning and design, actively adding professionals with experience in emerging technologies, data analytics, and big data applications in transportation. This role offers opportunities to expand your expertise in these rapidly evolving, technology-driven areas to help transform transportation systems.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare work plans and lead the execution of multimodal transportation modeling projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks.
• Supervise and review work by junior staff to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Lead the preparation of technical reports and presentations, participate in client and public meetings, and liaise with stakeholders.
• Coordinate proposal development, including understanding project scope, methodology, and budgets.
• Assist with team management, mentoring, and training junior staff.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

Requirements :

• Degree in Transportation Planning / Engineering or related field, with relevant technical and project management experience; postgraduate degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in transportation planning and traffic modeling, including master plans, environmental assessments, and system design studies.
• Knowledge of transportation infrastructure practices in the GTA and understanding of stakeholder needs.
• Familiarity with traffic modeling and analysis tools such as EMME, Dynameq, Vissim, Aimsun, and others.
• Strong skills in GIS, data analysis, programming (C / python), and data visualization tools like Power BI are desirable.
• Experience with automated mobility and smart city solutions is a plus.
• Registration with Professional Engineers of Ontario is preferred but not required.
