Insight Global is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to work full time for one of the largest telecommunication clients in Canada. The ideal candidate will manage a hardware device portfolio and develop new SmartHome products for TELUS and global partners. They will evaluate TELUS' SmartHome portfolio to ensure the right product mix, including IoT hubs, security cameras, doorbells, and chimes, and oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

-Work with global customers to understand their business requirements and translate them into hardware requirements

-Develop product roadmap and the in-home deployment architecture for current and new products

-Engage with and get buy-in from several stakeholders and partners, both internally and externally, on your proposed product roadmap

-Create, maintain, present, and get approval for business cases that support your product roadmap from all leadership levels

-Lead all internal and external teams for product launches and ongoing management, including vendors, engineering, systems and ordering, app development, marketing, logistics, and supply chain

-Create, maintain, and share project plans and schedules for new product development with all leadership levels, both internally and externally

-Evaluate mechanical design, RF design, CMF (colour, material, finish), and production decisions as part of the product development process

-Maintain strategic partnerships with various hardware, silicon, and software vendors

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years experience managing complete lifecycle of hardware products

-Ability to drive strategic decisions at each phase while collaborating with multiple different stakeholder teams

-Proven success in strategic roadmap creation, cross-functional leadership, and lifecycle management decisions that optimize product value, manufacturing efficiency and market impact

-Experience working with third-party vendors, particularly manufacturers

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Degree in business, engineering, or a related field

-Experience with new technology development

-Experience with consumer electronics or telecom industry

-PMP Certification

-Agile Product Management Certification

-Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

-Knowledge of Monday.com

-Knowledge of G-suite
