Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in municipal and/or water and wastewater industries.
  • Active or eligible membership with SASTT.
  • Experience with Trimble equipment is an asset.

Job Description

CIMA+’s Infrastructure team combines top-notch skills with an understanding of the local community to deliver customized infrastructure services for municipalities and real-estate developers. We have successfully completed hundreds of projects across Canada, including innovative solutions for water and wastewater assets, on time and within budget.

The CIMA+ team in Saskatoon is seeking an Intermediate Survey Technologist. This role involves working on diverse projects related to municipal, water, and wastewater markets primarily in Saskatchewan.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Perform preliminary topographic site surveys, construction surveys, construction layouts, record surveys, and data processing using Trimble survey equipment (RTK GPS, total station, level).
  2. Process and analyze survey data.
  3. Prepare and coordinate survey files with design models and drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D.
  4. Perform volumetric calculations and quantity takeoffs in Civil3D.
  5. Maintain accurate survey records and field notes.
  6. Conduct Construction Inspections to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications.
  7. Interact with senior technologists and engineers in a mentoring environment.
Qualifications
  1. Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent education.
  2. At least 4 years of experience in municipal and/or water and wastewater industries.
  3. Experience with municipal, water, and wastewater projects and/or Trimble equipment is considered an asset.
  4. Active or eligible membership with SASTT.
  5. Proficient in modern survey techniques, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu.
  6. Strong oral and written communication skills.
