You will work with senior specialists and multidisciplinary teams on mining and industrial projects, delivering structural analysis, calculations, and coordinated drawings while upholding WSP quality standards. The role requires a civil/structural engineering degree and active or near-term Ontario P.Eng registration, with willingness to travel to field

• Bachelors degree in civil/structural engineering and eligible for Ontario P.Eng.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, foundations, platforms, equipment supports, and industrial building systems.
• Produce calculations, technical notes, specifications, reports, design markups, and coordinated drawing packages.
• Support condition assessments, field investigations, site measurements, and renovation or brownfield designs that respond to operating realities.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, geotechnical, and drafting teams to integrate structural requirements into practical solutions.
• Provide construction support under senior guidance while ensuring codes and client standards are met.

Your Impact

Deliver structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, foundations, platforms, equipment supports, and industrial building systems.

Produce calculations, technical notes, specifications, reports, design markups, and coordinated drawing packages.

Support condition assessments, field investigations, site measurements, and renovation or brownfield designs that respond to operating realities.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, geotechnical, and drafting teams to integrate structural requirements into practical solutions.

Respond to requests for information, review shop drawings, and provide construction support under senior guidance while applying codes, client standards, and WSP quality procedures.

Manage assigned scope, budget, and schedule; raise risks and design decisions early; and guide Engineers-in-Training and designers on defined tasks.

The Skills That Set You Apart

A bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.

Professional Engineer registration in Ontario, or progress toward registration appropriate to your experience.

Relevant structural design experience, preferably in mining, industrial, infrastructure, or complex building environments.

Working knowledge of Canadian steel, concrete, and foundation design requirements.

Experience preparing calculations, coordinating drawing deliverables, completing self-checks, and supporting peer reviews.

Strong problem‑solving, organization, technical writing, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across disciplines.

Willingness to visit active industrial or mine sites and work collaboratively with field teams.

Exposure to structural analysis software, 3D coordination, industrial drafting workflows, brownfield modifications, existing structure assessments, or construction administration is preferred.
