Allnorth Consultants Limited is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer with a strong background in construction engineering for infrastructure projects in Canada. You will collaborate with contractors, clients, and a team of engineers, EITs, and project managers to move projects from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate holds a P.Eng. registration in Canada, has 7+ years of relevant experience in construction engineering and infrastructure design, and can apply structural analysis,

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Canada.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in construction engineering and infrastructure design.
• Experience with structural analysis, finite element methods, and seismic design principles.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and designers.
• Strong knowledge of national and provincial design codes and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the structural design of industrial, commercial, construction engineering, and infrastructure projects.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure code compliance and safety.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports for clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective structural solutions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure conformance with design.

We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer with a strong background in construction engineering within the infrastructure sector to join our team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with contractors, clients, and a talented team of professionals to bring a diverse range of projects from concept through to completion. ADayintheLife

• Lead the structural design of industrial, commercial, construction engineering, and infrastructure projects using industry-standard design software.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure compliance with applicable building codes, seismic requirements, and sustainability standards.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy, quality, and clarity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and integrate effective structural solutions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure work aligns with design specifications and safety requirements.
• Develop practical, innovative engineering solutions that balance safety, cost-effectiveness, functionality, and aesthetics.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting ongoing projects while identifying opportunities to develop new clients and projects for Allnorth.
• Work closely with project managers, team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish clear project requirements, deliverables, and expectations.
• Manage project deliverables to meet established schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical, scope, performance, and scheduling challenges in collaboration with project managers.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to structural team members, supporting their professional development and the overall success of the team.

WhatYou’llBringtotheTeam

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Canada
• 7+ years of relevant experience in construction engineering and infrastructure design, ideally within an engineering consulting environment.
• Resource bridge experience is considered an asset.
• Experience in finite element analysis of structures, dynamic analysis, and a solid understanding of seismic design principles.
• Knowledge of and experience applying national and provincial design codes, standards, and regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and support the professional development of team members.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects effectively.
