We're in search of a seasoned Structural Engineer to join our integrated design practice. You'll be our go-to guru for all things structural, especially when it comes to our exciting Hybrid Structural Technology projects. How you'll make a difference :

  1. Act as a design engineer and project manager on a variety of building projects of various sizes and complexity.
  2. Follow through all phases of projects from concept design through construction.
  3. Be driven to provide the highest technical quality in the delivery of designs, drawings, specifications, and in the field.
  4. Work with DIALOG's robust Specifiers to develop construction specifications.
  5. Work closely with our integrated team of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as other partner firms.
  6. Prepare contract documents to evaluate tenders.
  7. Build relationships of trust with clients and other outside agencies.
  8. Recruit, mentor, and enable the next generation of structural engineers. Coach and review the work of more junior team members.
  9. Opportunity to manage projects while working with limited supervision and participate in project planning.
  10. Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing, and operation of structural design.
  11. Provide Contract Administration support for your projects.

Who you are :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with PEO or another provincial engineering association.
  • 4 - 9 years of experience designing buildings.
  • Ability to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance / Status.
  • LEED accreditation is considered an asset.
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical firm leaders, staff, and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks/projects.
