Entuitive is looking for an Intermediate Structural Engineer, based in our Calgary office. Take the opportunity to learn more about the structural engineering service at Entuitive. We are passionate about our work and the talented individuals that get to deliver complex projects on a regular basis.

What will you do?

• Structural engineering design and calculations for all structural components including columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and lateral systems.
• Design and engineering using materials such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold formed structural steel, and wood.
• Work to assemble and coordinate engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team.
• Conduct field reviews and other contract administrative duties.
• Draft project-related correspondence as needed.
• Participate in client meetings, facilitating solutions to design issues and challenges, and providing status updates.
• Review architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.
• Utilize QA tools effectively, complete checklists, and submit them to the project engineer as required.
• Mentor junior staff on design and delivery elements to uphold standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Entuitive.

What do you need to succeed?

• An engineering degree focusing on civil and structural engineering, with 4-8 years of professional experience in the AEC industry.
• Achieved or working towards professional engineering status in Alberta.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of working with stakeholders and clients at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Interest or knowledge in embodied carbon is an asset.
