We are currently seeking an intermediate Structural Engineer to join our Structural Division in Abbotsford, BC.
This position will play a key role in structural design and calculations, preparing drawings and construction services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including existing buildings and structures.
- Complete structural calculations and prepare and edit structural specifications.
- Review engineering design for compliance with established codes, standards, and specifications; provide technical support to designers and drafters.
- Prepare reports and other technical documentation as required by the client.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Support senior staff with inter-discipline coordination, project reporting, and structural analysis and design.
- Provide general project coordination services.
- Coordinate with technical staff in preparation of contract drawings and documents and other work tasks.
- Coordinate structural designs and documents with other disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Landscaping, etc.).
- Provide structural engineering support during construction, attend site meetings, and carry out field reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- P. Eng or registered as an EIT.
- Degree in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of related work experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter and team player.
- A valid driver's license.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Salary of $75,000 – $95,000 per year plus, depending on experience.
