Job summary

Famme & Co. in Ontario is seeking an Intermediate Staff Accountant eager to learn and grow within a collaborative public accounting environment. This early-career role offers hands-on experience across compilation, review, audit engagements, and tax filings for a diverse client base.

You will have 1-3 years of entry-level accounting experience, and are motivated to pursue the CPA designation. You can work independently and with others in a hybrid setting, with mentorship and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Graduate of a post-secondary program in accounting, business or a related field.
• 1-3 years of entry level accounting experience (co-op/internships included).
• Motivated to pursue the CPA designation.
• Ability to work well independently and collaborate with others.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
• Self-starter who is committed to growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of compilation, review and audit engagements.
• Preparation of tax filings for corporations, individuals, estates and trusts.
• Preparation of various tax and government subsidy forms (i.e. AgriInvest).
• Transcribe and organize file queries to obtain missing information from clients.
• Collaborate with Managers to provide high-quality client service.
• Successfully implement feedback from Managers to learn and improve future performance.
• Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to work processes.
