Intermediate Software Developer - AI Services

The Role

The developer will join TMT Technology team at TripArc working on our Tour Operator platform. The team is in growth mode as we expand development of new features and continue the process of migrating legacy code to new front-end frameworks and a microservices architecture, helping us to rapidly scale as the rush of new clients builds. Depending on the team you join, you may work on projects which enable our travel experts to create compelling travel experiences for their clients, optimize the products presented to our travel experts based on various factors, or work "behind the scenes" on the back end of our software where the magic of mixing, matching and pricing happens.

We converted to an Agile methodology a couple of years ago and are now a fully enabled Agile department that prioritizes work based on the value it brings to our clients. During each two-week sprint, our developers plan, write, test, integrate and bug fix while collaborating on teams with skilled Business Analyst, UX and product resources, which are dedicated to the team. We hire problem solvers, not technicians and look for self-motivated individuals with diverse backgrounds able to use the best tool for the job, contribute new ideas, and help bring them to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software that has been tested, integrated, and meets both yours and ours high development standards.
• Assist in evaluating new functionality requests on a value scale for the business.
• Actively participate in team meetings and offer recommendations / ideas on design projects.
• Help Mentor other Junior developers in the team and help them with any problems.
• Work with Product Manager and architects to estimate, plan, test, integrate and deliver complex, scalable software.
• Create design documents and documentation to ensure efficient maintenance.
• Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration.
• Ensure work Is delivered on schedule and keep (internal) customers informed of the project’s progress.
• Explore and make recommendations based on current trends, techniques, technologies that could have a positive impact on your work.

Core Qualifications

• Professional Experience : 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable applications.
• NET Expertise : Deep proficiency in the Microsoft .NET technology stack, including modern .NET (Core+), C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Entity Framework.
• Frontend Development : Strong command of frontend development using Angular (v12+), with experience building responsive and intuitive user interfaces, preferably with a component library like Angular Material.
• Database Proficiency : Solid experience with both relational (e.g., SQL Server, T-SQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases, including data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Software Design : Strong fundamental knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Version Control : Expertise with modern version control systems, particularly Git and collaborative platforms like GitHub or Azure DevOps.
• Communication & Collaboration : Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts, build consensus among peers, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
• Project Management : Superior time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

AI & Machine Learning Qualifications

• AI Application Development : Demonstrated experience or a strong, verifiable interest in building AI-powered applications. This includes :
• Vector Databases & Embeddings : Hands-on experience with vector databases and an understanding of how to use embeddings for semantic search and retrieval (e.g., using Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Milvus, or similar).
• AI Orchestration : Experience with frameworks designed to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar tools.
• Azure AI Services : Experience leveraging cloud-based AI services, with a strong preference for Azure AI Search and other components of the Azure AI stack.

Preferred Skills & Bonus Points

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions using Azure cloud services, such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and App Services.
• Practical experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture for chat applications.
• Familiarity with CI / CD principles and building automated deployment pipelines.
